Welcome to Haad Kaew Resort

Haad Kaew Resort, nestled along the serene coastline of Singhanakhon District in Songkhla, Thailand, offers a refreshing escape for travelers seeking tranquility by the sea. With a respectable rating of 4.1, this expansive beachfront resort combines natural charm with family-friendly amenities, making it an ideal destination for both leisure and relaxation.

The resort’s location at 163 Ching Kho places guests just a ferry ride away from the famed Samila Beach, providing a peaceful alternative to busier tourist spots. Visitors often highlight the resort’s quiet atmosphere, perfect for unwinding, enjoying fresh sea breezes, and witnessing stunning sunrises from beachfront huts. Although the beach features concrete walls limiting direct sand access, the scenic ocean views and the gentle sound of waves create a soothing environment.

Rooms at Haad Kaew Resort are spacious and clean, showcasing a well-maintained but slightly dated interior. Guests appreciate the attention to detail in cleanliness, from fresh-smelling linens to spotless bathrooms. Lighting in rooms tends to be soft and dim, reflecting the resort’s established heritage rather than modern minimalism. Despite this, comfort remains paramount, and many visitors find the accommodations cozy and inviting, especially for family stays.

The resort’s outdoor pool stands out as a highlight, especially for guests traveling with children. Its generous size and ample seating areas provide a welcoming spot to relax and socialize under the open sky while still enjoying views of the sea. The facility’s kid-friendly design emphasizes safety and fun, contributing to a well-rounded family experience.

A culinary focus enriches every stay at Haad Kaew Resort. The breakfast buffet offers both local Thai favorites and continental options, featuring fresh fruits, porridges, salads, fried rice, noodles, and traditional Thai nasi dishes. The resort also caters thoughtfully to dietary needs, offering halal food selections that enhance inclusivity, reflecting the warm hospitality of the region.

With amenities such as free Wi-Fi, parking, accessible rooms, laundry services, airport shuttle, and dedicated bike parking, the resort ensures convenience alongside comfort. While lacking a fitness center, Haad Kaew prioritizes outdoor leisure and relaxation, inviting guests to engage in sightseeing, recreational activities, or simply strolling along the peaceful beach promenade.

Despite its charm, some guests note minor challenges, such as the aged interior and occasional transport inconveniences. Nevertheless, the staff’s friendliness and the overall ambiance create an inviting retreat away from city bustle. The resort strikes a delicate balance—offering a calm, clean, and welcoming atmosphere brimming with natural beauty and authentic Thai warmth.

In essence, Haad Kaew Resort shines as a tranquil haven where visitors can reconnect with nature and savor the simplicity of beachside living. It leaves a memorable impression as a peaceful, family-oriented destination that respects tradition while providing the comforts needed for a fulfilling getaway.

This is a huge resort, located next to the beach , with nice pools for the kids One can take a stroll along the beach (a shorter version of Samila beach front) The room came with breakfast for two; paid THB120 / pax for the 3 boys Wasn’t sure whether the food was halal; thus we settled for bread , boiled eggs and some fruits Nice place ; highly recommended

1 July 2023 Checked in 2 July 2023 Checked out The resort is not newly built, so, please dont expect too much on the interior of the rooms. But the towels and bed sheets smelled very nice. Thank you so much to the resort management on the choosing of the laundry detergents. The buffet breakfast was acceptable with selections of fresh fruits and salads, porridges, fried rice and noodle, ‘thai nasi kerabu’, bread and the jams and pancakes. Tea, coffee and fruit juice. The swimming pools opens till 9pm.

One of the quietest place i ever stayed! Nice resort with decent breakfast spread from local Thai food to continental breakfast. Pool is large and ample of space to sit outside while enjoying the sea breeze . The resort faces the sea, however the sea was rough, so we didnt go and swim. Rooms are decent and very clean, its just that the lighting in the rooms are too dim perhaps its an old hotel.Ideal for families with young kids or older who just want to take break and away from the bustling cities. Not to forget the staff are friendly indeed! We had a great stay and might want to repeat this.

A quiet resort away from the city. Family friendly. Rooms were comfortable. Although it is a bit dated, the place was still maintained quite well. Most importantly it's clean.

I was here in 2015 and compared to this time in 2022 the place is still the same with some minor changes. The room was big and clean, the bathroom a bit outdated but still okay and the swimming pool was still outstanding. There's free wi-fi available and the breakfast is good, although more Thai orientated.

A ferry away from Samila. Clean, friendly, affordable, near the beach, dedicated bike parking near concierge & most importantly the restaurant serves halal food. Quiet place. Will come again for sure.

Quiet place as I visited here on the weekday and there weren't any company meetings at that time. The room was nice I stayed at the beachfront hut, newly built. The sunrise in the morning was stunning. There are concrete walls along the beach. You can't walk on the sand beach.

Beautiful place, calmness, quiet, out of town centre, with a beautiful scenery and ambience. But a bit frustrating with van transport as they keep on saying that the place is too far but its not the resort's faulty. For those who want to come, please be aware of a Thai stink minivan driver's attitude..
